• In order to safeguard trademark holder’s interests in East Timor, we recommend proceeding with the publication of Cautionary Notices in local newspapers every 2 years.
• The Cautionary Notices should contain the description of te trademark, namely, name and/or figurative sign, full particulars of the holder and full list of goods and services.
• We cannot guarantee that Cautionary Notices inhibit the use of trademarks by third parties. Nevertheless, in case of counterfeit or other infringements, the holder will be able to state that all possible measures were adopted to protect the trademark.
